Ode to the Almost Homeless Mr Z

Here’s an ode to the almost homeless Mr Z.

The patient dog gets the bone
So Mr Z was told
In patience he towed
And waited for his own
Each man got a bone
And Z was left alone

Almost;

But for Mr Y
The kindhearted Mr Y
Who offered to have him stay
And off he went to squat
With goodhearted Mr Y

The patient dog gets the bone
So Mr Z was told
But little did he know
That he’d be almost homeless
While waiting for the bone.

I had a meeting some days ago and it took place in a primary school classroom. I was quiet  fascinated by this alphabet board wherein the letter ‘Z’ is squatting with ‘Y’ because the alphabets are twenty six and there are twenty five boxes. Share my fascination?
